In this course, equivalent to a 3 day workshop, we explore the visual language of landscape through expressive mark making and playful mixed media approaches. We use a variety of media including charcoal and collage to explore shape, line, pattern and texture in the landscape and develop our visual language.

In this course, equivalent to a 4-day workshop, we take a deep exploration into collage using a range of papers and approaches. We gather and create collage papers using a variety of media. We use these to develop exciting collage works on paper and in sketchbooks. A mix of collage composition studies, collage creations in a concertina sketchbook and mixed media layered collage studies on paper are produced.

In this course, equivalent to a 4-day workshop, we use sketchbooks to enable the development of an intuitive, experimental and flexible approach to our chosen subject. We use a variety of media and sketchbook types alongside different expressive approaches to broaden our understanding of the subject. Varied sketchbook pages, a series of handmade books and a studio journal are produced.
